The 128702-01 is the signal processing unit (Proximitor) that works in conjunction with an 8mm probe and an extension cable. Its primary job is to generate a Radio Frequency (RF) signal, send it to the probe, and then convert the reflected signal into a usable voltage output. This voltage is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the target (the rotating shaft).
