It is the most powerful unit in the SLC 500 power supply lineup, offering higher current output on the 5V DC and 24V DC backplane rails compared to the P1 or P2 models. - Heat Dissipation: Due to its high power output, ensure the cabinet has adequate ventilation. Do not block the cooling vents on the top or bottom of the module.
- Grounding: Ensure a solid connection to the functional earth (ground) terminal to minimize electrical noise and ensure safety.
- Loading Balance: While it has high capacity, always calculate the total current draw of your specific I/O modules using the SLC 500 selection guide to ensure you don’t exceed the 10A limit.
