The 2090-XNSM-M is a specialized wiring connector kit used in Kinetix® 6000, 6000M, and 7000 servo drive systems. Its primary purpose is to facilitate the daisy-chaining of the Safe Torque-Off (STO) signals between multiple drives.

In a multi-axis safety configuration involving three or more drives, this “Middle Header” is used on all drives sitting between the first and the last drive in the safety chain to maintain signal continuity.

Important Precautions

• Placement Matters: The -M (Middle) header must only be used for drives in the middle of a chain. The -T (Terminating) header must be used for the final drive to close the safety loop.

• Power Down: Never install or remove the header while the drive has logic or bus power applied. This can cause “Safety Fault” errors or hardware damage.

• Discontinuation Note: As of December 31, 2025, Rockwell Automation has officially moved this product to “End of Life” status. For new installations, verify compatibility with the latest Kinetix 5000 series which integrates safety over EtherNet/IP.
