The 2093-AC05-MP1 serves as the “leader” module in a Kinetix 2000 drive system. It mounts directly onto a 2093-PRSx power rail and provides DC bus power to additional “follower” Axis Modules (AM). It uses the SERCOS interface for high-speed, synchronized communication with Logix5000™ controllers, making it ideal for low-to-medium power multi-axis applications where panel space is at a premium.

Safety and Maintenance

• Cooling Clearances: Ensure a minimum clearance of 40mm (1.6 in.) above and below the module for air convection. It does not require side clearance when mounted on the power rail.

• Grounding: The module must be properly grounded via the power rail. If using ungrounded power, the internal grounding jumper (CON6 to CON7) must be adjusted according to the manual.

• Contamination Protection: Since this is an “open-type” device (IP20), it must be installed in an enclosure that protects it from metallic dust, moisture, and conductive debris.
