The 2093-AMP1 is a single-width inverter module that provides power and control for one servo motor. It does not have its own AC-to-DC converter; instead, it draws DC bus power from a 2093-ACxx Integrated Axis Module (IAM) via a 2093-PRSx power rail. This “follower” design allows multiple 2093-AMP1 modules to be snapped onto a single rail, creating a highly space-efficient multi-axis drive system.

Note: As of December 31, 2022, this series has been discontinued by Rockwell Automation. The recommended replacement is the Kinetix 5300 series (e.g., 2198-C1004-ERS).

• Power Rail Integrity: Ensure the power rail (2093-PRSx) pins are clean and free of debris before mounting. Damaged pins can cause intermittent DC bus faults.

• Static Sensitivity: This unit contains sensitive electronics. Use standard ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions during installation or replacement.

• Residual Energy: Even after the main IAM is powered down, the DC bus can hold a charge. Always wait at least 5 minutes and verify with a voltmeter before touching terminals.
