ITP Connectors: This module uses ITP (Industrial Twisted Pair) connectors, which are different from standard RJ45 connectors. You may need specific Siemens ITP cables or adapters to connect standard Ethernet devices.

Fiber Type: Ensure you are using 62.5/125 $\mu$m or 50/125 $\mu$m multi-mode glass fiber. Single-mode fiber is not compatible with the BFOC ports on this unit.

Redundancy Manager: In a ring topology, one (and only one) switch in the ring must be configured as the Redundancy Manager via the DIP switches or software.
Network Configuration Tip
When setting up a redundant ring:

Connect the fiber ports of Switch A to Switch B, B to C, and C back to A.

Set the DIP switch for “RM” (Redundancy Manager) to ON on only one switch.

Ensure all other switches have “RM” set to OFF.
