The NI 9514 is a C Series motor drive interface module for the CompactRIO platform. It’s specifically designed to provide high-performance, single-axis servo motion control. Rather than being a motor driver itself, the NI 9514 acts as an interface between a CompactRIO controller and a third-party servo drive. It contains a dedicated processor that runs a spline interpolation engine and PID control loop to ensure precise and smooth motion.
