D136-001-007 MOOG Programmable controller
Product Dimensions:
Product Description
The D136-001-007 is a DIN-rail mounted digital controller that combines PLC functionality with specialized motion control. It acts as the “brain” of a servo system, receiving signals from sensors (like encoders or pressure transducers) and sending precise command signals to servo valves or drives. It is programmed using the MACS (Moog Axis Control Software), an IEC 61131-compliant environment.

Product Advantages
- High Precision: 16-bit resolution on I/O ensures extremely fine control of spool position or motor torque.
- Fast Response: The 400 μs cycle time allows the controller to react to process changes nearly instantaneously.
- Flexibility: Can control both hydraulic and electric drives, making it a versatile tool for hybrid machinery.
- Rugged Construction: Designed for harsh industrial environments, featuring overvoltage protection (up to ±36V) and short-circuit protection.
- No Wear Parts: The unit uses Flash EEPROM for data storage, eliminating the need for backup batteries or moving parts.
Precautions & Maintenance
- Programming Environment: This module requires MACS software for configuration. It is not a “plug-and-play” device and must be programmed for your specific application.
- Wiring: Ensure the use of shielded cables for analog I/O to prevent electromagnetic interference (EMI) from affecting signal accuracy.
- Reset Procedure: Use only non-conductive tools to press the front-panel reset button. Note that a reset will stop the processor immediately without saving current variables.
- Heat Dissipation: Being an IP20 device, it must be installed in a ventilated cabinet to maintain an operating temperature between 5°C and 55°C.
Product Applications
- Steel & Metallurgy: Controlling AGC (Automatic Gauge Control) in rolling mills for precise thickness regulation.
- Injection Molding: Managing the high-speed, high-pressure movements of the injection screw and mold clamps.
- Power Generation: Controlling gas and steam turbine valves for load regulation and safety tripping.
- Test Benches: Used in automotive or aerospace test rigs where high-frequency motion simulation is required.
