The E1041 is a 10.4-inch TFT-color touch panel designed to bridge the gap between complex industrial processes and human operators. It features a high-resolution display and extensive connectivity options, including multiple serial ports and Ethernet. It is programmed using the Information Designer software, which allows for advanced functions like trend-charting, recipe management, and multi-language support.

Key Precautions & Notes

• Lifecycle Status: The EXTER series is a legacy product. While still highly reliable, it has been largely succeeded by the Beijer X2 series. Availability may be limited to “Refurbished” or “New Old Stock.”
• Software Requirement: You must use Information Designer to program this unit. It is generally not compatible with the newer iX Developer software used for X2 panels.
• Backlight Life: The CCFL or LED backlight (depending on the revision) has a finite life. To extend it, it is recommended to use the “Screen Saver” or “Backlight Dim” function in the settings.
• Chemical Resistance: While the front is IP66, avoid cleaning the touchscreen with harsh solvents (like high-concentration acetone), as this can damage the resistive overlay.
