The EA-COMCON-3A is a D-SUB 15-pin male to 6-pole terminal block adapter. It plugs directly into the serial port on the back of an HMI panel, converting the high-density 15-pin connector into a set of screw terminals.

Important Notes & Precautions

• Physical Clearance: Since this is a straight entry adapter (protrudes directly out from the back), ensure your control cabinet has enough depth between the back of the HMI and the panel door/backplane.

• Shielding: To prevent electromagnetic interference (EMI), always use shielded twisted-pair (STP) cable and connect the shield to a proper ground (GND).

• Termination: If the HMI is at the physical end of the communication line, remember to jumper the TERM terminal to the appropriate data line according to the wiring diagram in the manual.

• UL Recognition: Note that while many C-more components are UL listed, the EA-COMCON-3A adapter is often designated as a “terminal block accessory” and may not carry the same individual UL marks as the main HMI unit.
