The ABB EI813F module is an Electrical Interface Module designed to bridge the electrical signal backbone (the TB810/TB811 S800 I/O cluster bus) with a fiber optic communication link. It is a key component for Fieldbus Communication and is specifically used with the AC800F Controller and the S800 I/O System.

The EI813F provides a redundant or non-redundant electrical interface for the S800 I/O modules and converts the internal bus signal to a protocol suitable for fiber optic transmission (via a separate modem or converter) to achieve long-distance communication and superior noise immunity.
