The KJ2002X1-CA1 acts as the central processing unit for a DeltaV node. It provides the logic execution for function blocks, manages the data flow from I/O modules, and communicates with the rest of the DeltaV network via redundant Ethernet ports. The M5 Controller is characterized by its significant processing speed and memory, making it a “mid-to-high” range controller capable of handling more demanding process applications than the M3 series.
