The KJ2003X1-BA2 is a Medium Density (MD) Controller designed for M-series DeltaV systems. It provides the processing power needed to handle real-time control strategies, including advanced regulatory control and batch processing. It features built-in Ethernet ports for redundant control network communications and is designed to snap onto a DeltaV 2-wide power/controller carrier.

2. Removal/Insertion: This unit cannot be removed or inserted while the system power is energized unless the area is known to be non-hazardous. Always follow “Hot-Swap” procedures defined by Emerson.

3. Hazardous Area Installation: If used in Zone 2 or Class I Div 2 areas, ensure the controller is installed in an enclosure with a minimum rating of IP54.

4. Static Protection: Always use an ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) wrist strap when handling the module to prevent damage to internal sensitive components.

5. Firmware Compatibility: Ensure the controller firmware version is compatible with your current DeltaV software version before commissioning.
