Key Considerations (Precautions)

Voltage Limits: This module is rated for Low Voltage (60 VDC) only. Applying mains voltage or high-voltage signals will damage the reed relays and potentially the entire PXIe chassis.

Relay Protection: Reed relays are sensitive to capacitive and inductive loads. If switching long cables or reactive loads, ensure you use current-limiting resistors to prevent “arcing” that can weld the contacts shut.

Cold Switching: To maximize the life of the relays, it is recommended to perform “cold switching” (turning off the signal source before opening or closing the relay) whenever possible.

Terminal Blocks: Due to the high-density 200-pin LFH connector, it is highly recommended to use the TB-2643 terminal block for easier wiring.
