The RDCO-03 module is a plug-in adapter that provides multiple fiber optic channels for the drive. The “-03” designation specifically refers to the power/speed rating of the optical components, typically utilizing 10 MBd (megabaud) optical components for specific distances and protocols.

• Compatibility: Ensure the drive’s firmware supports the RDCO-03. Some older ACS800 units may require a firmware update to recognize the DDCS channels.

• Correct Porting: Crossing the Transmitter (Tx) and Receiver (Rx) lines is a frequent installation error. Ensure the black connector (Rx) and grey connector (Tx) are matched correctly at both ends.

• Tightening: When plugging the module into the RMIO board, ensure the plastic mounting screw is tightened to ensure a solid electrical connection to the bus.
